Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi Skilled Operative/ Plasterer to join our construction and maintenance team. The successful candidate will possess a broad skill set across various trades, enabling them to undertake a wide range of tasks on-site. Duties
- Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work.
- Undertake roofing repairs and installations, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
- Perform construction painting to prepare surfaces and achieve high-quality finishes.
- Assist with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance across sites.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes.
- Handle electrical tasks within scope of experience, including wiring and fitting fixtures.
- Use hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, chisels) efficiently for various tasks.
- Operate power tools (drills, saws, grinders) safely and effectively.
- Fabricate components as required for specialised projects or repairs.
- Maintain health and safety standards at all times whilst working across multiple trades.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
Requirements
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction activities.
- Ability to undertake fabrication work with precision and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges on-site.
- Valid relevant certifications or licences are desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake necessary training is expected.
- A commitment to health & safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
