Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a care home specialising in senior care, including dementia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall management of the care home, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of care.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including dementia.
- Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective team performance.
- Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal standards within the care environment.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Organise staff rotas, manage resource allocation, and oversee staff training programmes to maintain a skilled workforce.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure quality assurance standards are met or exceeded.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a strong background in senior care.
- Knowledge of dementia care and medication management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage care plans, staff schedules, and regulatory documentation efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents’ families, staff, and external health professionals.
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering person-centred care.
- Ability to lead by example while fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement.
