Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and deliver engaging activities and entertainment tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Foster social interaction by encouraging participation in group events, games, music sessions, arts and crafts, and outings
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing specialized activity programs that promote cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with care staff to assess individual needs and adapt activities accordingly
- Maintain a safe environment during all activities, ensuring proper supervision and risk management
- Record participation levels and feedback to continually improve activity programs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to promote a warm, inclusive atmosphere
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
- Knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care techniques
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging activities for older adults with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with residents of varying cognitive abilities
- Experience coordinating group events or recreational programs within care environments
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in enhancing residents’ quality of life
