Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that they are fuller conversant with the company SMS & QMS and understand their contribution towards these.
- Ensure that all maintenance requirements are provided in accordance with current legislation, MCA requirements and maintenance schedules
- Attend training and to maintain a satisfactory knowledge of all operational and safety procedures which will allow for successful completion of all mandatory tests
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, management and external contractors, carrying out all duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner
- Communicate clearly and effectively with management, supervisors and co-workers
- Execution of preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
- Conduct scheduled checks on craft, parts and ground equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults and breakdown problems
- Overhaul and replace parts according to maintenance schedule
- Maintenance of safety equipment ensuring within certification dates
- Conducting quality inspections on all work carried out
- Responding to craft breakdowns and dealing with emergency breakdowns as they occur
- Recommending cost efficient engineering solutions
- Ensure compliance with all Company Quality Management System, and regulatory body requirements
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with documented safe working practices and in accordance with Permits to Work and department engineering risk assessments
- Take responsibility for personal Health and Safety; and that of others in the working environment
- Working required shifts to maintain the Hovertravel operational service
- Cary out any other reasonable task as requested by a senior member of staff for which you have been trained and equipped
