Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Semi Skilled Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will support various building projects by performing a range of essential tasks that contribute to the successful completion of construction sites. Your energy, attention to detail, and willingness to learn will help ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple trades while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with tasks related to carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, welding, and fabrication.
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing tools, and setting up materials needed for daily tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Support the installation of roofing materials, framing, drywall, or other structural components.
- Help with site cleanup, debris removal, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of mixing mortars
- And working with stonemasons
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, grinders
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
