Florist Manager - Clapham Junction £40,000 per year | Full-time, approximately 48 hours per week |
Outside Clapham Junction station, Igloo Flowers is seeking an experienced Florist Manager to run our busy outdoor flower stall at Clapham Junction. This hands-on role combines professional floristry, team leadership, retail management and excellent customer service.
You will oversee daily operations while creating and selling high-quality bouquets and arrangements to commuters, local residents and regular customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the stall.
- Lead and organise the retail floristry team.
- Prepare staff rotas, manage holiday requests and arrange suitable cover.
- Manage flower, plant and sundry ordering; liaise with suppliers and check deliveries.
- Monitor stock, maintain availability and control waste.
- Create bouquets and arrangements to a high standard.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain attractive displays.
- Open and close the stall.
- Support contract, wedding, event and high-end floristry work as required.
About you Minimum three years' professional retail floristry experience.
Previous management or supervisory experience.
Experience with staff rotas, ordering and stock control.
Excellent floristry and customer-service skills.
Strong organisation and commercial awareness.
Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure.
Up-to-date knowledge of flowers, plants and industry trends.
Very good spoken and written English.
Availability for early starts and weekend work, and comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
