This full-time role involves supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them access learning and thrive in a supportive environment.
You will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, building positive relationships with pupils while encouraging emotional regulation, independence and engagement throughout the school day. The role includes supporting pupils during transitions, implementing behaviour support strategies, and helping to create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will play an important role in delivering personalised support that enables every child to achieve their potential.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience working with children in the UK, either within schools or in another transferable role such as nursery, youth work, residential care, sports coaching or support work
- Have experience supporting children with SEMH, SEND, autism or behavioural needs (desirable)
- Are patient, resilient and compassionate, with excellent communication skills
- Can build positive relationships and remain calm in challenging situations
- Are committed to supporting children's emotional wellbeing and educational progress
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children who benefit from additional support while becoming part of a friendly and experienced school team.
If you're passionate about helping children reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.
