£27,000–£31,000 per annum + performance bonus + potential share opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced, ambitious Salon Manager to join Escape Beauty & Wellness and play a key role in the next stage of our growth.
This isn’t a role for someone who simply wants to open and close the salon, manage a diary and deal with the day-to-day.
We’re looking for someone who wants to build something.
Someone who can lead a team, develop therapists, improve standards, increase revenue and help shape the future of Escape.
The Role
As Salon Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the salon, whilst working closely with the owners to grow the business.
You’ll be hands-on, visible and involved with the team rather than managing from behind a desk.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and developing the salon team
- Setting and maintaining consistently high treatment and customer service standards
- Managing the day-to-day running of the salon
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training
- Identifying strengths and development opportunities within the team
- Helping therapists develop their skills, confidence and performance
- Monitoring individual and team performance
- Driving bookings, rebooking, client retention and retail sales
- Working towards salon revenue and performance targets
- Helping introduce and develop new treatments and services
- Creating a positive, professional and ambitious team culture
- Dealing confidently with client feedback and resolving issues where required
- Ensuring the salon is presented and operated to a consistently high standard
- Working with the owners on promotions, marketing ideas and business development
- Identifying opportunities to improve the customer journey and increase profitability
- Helping shape the future direction of Escape Beauty & Wellness
We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally have previous experience managing a busy beauty salon or spa and be confident leading a team of therapists.
You’ll be:
- An experienced beauty professional with proven salon management experience
- A natural leader who can get the best out of people
- Commercially minded and motivated by growth
- Confident managing targets and performance
- Organised, proactive and able to take ownership
- Comfortable having difficult conversations when needed
- Passionate about exceptional client experiences
- Someone who leads by example
- Ambitious about developing both yourself and your team
- Commercial enough to understand that a great salon also needs to be a successful business
We don’t expect you to know everything. What matters most is that you have the experience, confidence and ambition to take ownership and make things happen.
A Hands-On Management Role
This is not a purely administrative management position.
You’ll remain hands-on with clients and treatments for part of your working week, whilst spending the remainder of your time leading the team and managing the salon.
We want our manager to be visible on the salon floor, understand what our therapists experience every day and be someone the team naturally looks to for guidance.
Our treatment offering includes nails and BIAB, manicures and pedicures, brows and lashes, waxing, facials, massage and advanced skin treatments, including our Crystal Clear COMCIT TDO system.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or equivalent recognised qualification – essential.
- Proven experience working within a busy salon or beauty environment.
- Previous senior, supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of professional beauty treatments.
- Confident coaching and developing therapists to maintain high standards.
- Strong commercial and customer-service awareness.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
