We’re an independent VAG specialist. VW, Audi, SEAT, Škoda and CUPRA only. Two IMI Master Technicians, dealer-level ODIS diagnostics, and the sort of work most independents send elsewhere.
We’re looking for one person to run front of house properly.
The role
Day to day you’ll run the diary, order parts and chase them so jobs don’t stall, and keep customers updated before they have to ring us. That’s the baseline.
The part that matters more is growth. This business needs to grow every year and this role owns a large share of that. In order of priority:
- Customer retention. Knowing who’s due back, who hasn’t returned, and doing something about it.
- Customer service. The reason people come back to an independent instead of a dealer.
- Reviews. Asking properly, consistently, every job.
- Social media. Working with me on content from the work we do. You don’t need to be an expert, you need to be interested.
- New customers. Converting the enquiries we get and helping us get more.
You’ll be measured on these. We’ll set targets together and review them.
The deal
£34,000. That’s the wage, there’s no commission or OTE bolted on. The wage is reviewed every twelve months against the growth measures above, and it moves when the business moves.
38 hours, Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 18:30. Three day weekend, every week of the year.
Who this suits
Someone who wants to be somewhere for years, not months. This is a small business, so the person who does this job well ends up running the department. That’s a genuine route, not a line in an advert, but it’s earned over time and it isn’t the job on day one.
You’ll be working alongside the owner every day. I’m in the building, I’ll teach you how it runs, and I’ll expect you to take it off me piece by piece.
Motor trade experience helps. Being organised, liking people, and wanting to build something matter more.
