Image on Food Ltd are one of the leading gingerbread manufacturers in the UK through our brands Original Biscuit Bakers and Billingtons Gingerbread. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a proactive and experienced Team Leader to oversee production operations, drive efficiency, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of production operatives to meet daily production targets.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and quality control standards are maintained throughout the production process.
- Monitor and manage team performance, providing coaching and support to maximize efficiency.
- Organise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring smooth production and minimizing downtime.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for operational improvement
- Work closely with other departments, including Quality Assurance and Maintenance, to resolve production issues.
- Conduct regular team briefings and communicate company updates and goals effectively.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, shift reports, and staff performance.
- Support and train new team members to maintain high standards of work.
Skills
- Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving processes
- Strong numerical skills

Salary and Hours
- Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, 6:00am - 2:30pm (finish at 1;30pm on Fridays)
- Salary £32, 661.38 per annum
