Duties
- Assist classroom teachers with preparing and organising instructional materials for daily lessons.
- Support students individually or in small groups, especially those requiring additional help
- Implement tailored activities that promote inclusive learning for students with disabilities, autism, social and emotional mental health needs.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment by encouraging positive behavior and social interactions among students.
- Provide mentorship and tutoring to reinforce lesson content and build confidence in learners.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and specialists to support each child's educational journey.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational, tutoring, or mentoring roles is highly desirable.
- Background in special education or experience supporting individuals with disabilities enhances your ability to meet diverse student needs.
- Familiarity with working specifically with children on the autism spectrum is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with educators and engaging students effectively.
- Creative writing skills will help craft engaging activities that stimulate imagination and language development.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience demonstrates your ability to adapt lessons and foster learning environments.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's growth and development is key to excelling in this rewarding role.
