Game District Inverness is opening a brand-new store, and we're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Full-Time Store Assistant to join our team.
If you're passionate about TCG (Trading Card Games), gaming, and creating a welcoming environment for customers, we'd love to hear from you!
The Role
You'll be part of the team helping to run our new Inverness store. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Helping customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Selling and organising TCG products, accessories, and gaming items.
- Sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for TCGs with customers.
- Keeping the shop clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Helping with stock, deliveries, displays, and general shop duties.
- Supporting events, tournaments, and the local gaming community.
- Providing a great experience for both new and experienced players.
What We're Looking For
TCG knowledge is essential. You should have a good understanding of trading card games and be comfortable talking to customers about them.
Knowledge or experience with games such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana, or other popular TCGs would be a strong advantage.
We're also looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable, and reliable.
- Passionate about gaming and the TCG community.
- Comfortable speaking with customers.
- A good team player with a positive attitude.
- Willing to learn and take on different responsibilities.
- Able to work in a busy retail environment.
Technical Skills — Bonus!
Any IT, computer, POS/till, website, social media, or general technical knowledge would be an additional benefit, although it isn't essential.
