Job Title: CMC Envelope Enclosing Machine Operator
Purpose of the Role
To set up, operate and maintain CMC envelope enclosing machinery to produce high-quality mailing packs efficiently, accurately and safely, ensuring all customer specifications and production schedules are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CMC envelope enclosing machines in accordance with job specifications.
- Read and interpret job sheets, work instructions and production documentation.
- Load envelopes, inserts and consumables to maintain efficient production.
- Carry out machine changeovers for different mailing jobs.
- Monitor machine performance and make routine adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
- Identify and resolve minor machine issues, escalating more complex faults where necessary.
- Carry out regular quality checks to ensure all work meets customer specifications, including correct inserts, accurate enclosing and secure sealing.
- Complete production paperwork accurately, including output, downtime and waste records.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards around the machine and work area.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance as required.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and customer confidentiality requirements when handling personalised mailings.
- Support other production activities when required to meet business needs.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience operating production machinery within a manufacturing, print or mailing environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written instructions and work accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience operating CMC envelope enclosing equipment.
- Experience within the mailing, print or fulfilment industry.
- Basic fault-finding and machine adjustment skills.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
