We are pleased to announce a Full Time Permanent position of a Delivery Driver within the Despatch Department.
We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver to distribute our products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an excellent health & safety working environment along with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
You will report to the Despatch Manager/Supervisor. Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Loading of vehicles in a safe and secure way
- Drives safely and follows all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe work environment
- Quality Control
- Keeping vehicle clean & tidy
- Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to at all times
- Taping and polishing in despatch when needed
The skills needed for this role, are as follows;
- A self-starter by nature with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Remain calm under pressure
- Ability to read and follow paperwork and written instructions is essential
- Physically demanding role
- Glass handling or experience within a glass factory, desired
- Full clean driving licence - 7.5 Tonne
- CPC Licence
- Counterbalance forklift licence desired, not essential
Working times are usually 7am-4pm. Must be able to work overtime when required.
