Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Night Shift Team Lead to oversee our food production operations during the night hours. This pivotal role involves leading a team to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality food manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, a passion for food safety, and excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide the team through nightly production activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the night shift food production team to meet daily operational targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols and other food safety regulations throughout all production processes.
- Monitor equipment performance, perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, and coordinate maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety standards, including proper handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Support team members by providing training on food production techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, safety checks, and quality control measures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production/ manufacturing or kitchen environments with a focus on food safety practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with HACCP standards and other relevant food safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

4pm-2am (with 5th shift to suit business needs, with a day back in lieu)
40 Hours a week
Pay: £29,500.00-£31,000.00 per year
