Founded in 2021, we are a rapidly growing company in the Energy Efficiency sector, delivering retrofit solutions into communities across the UK to improve the energy efficiency of homes.
Based on Phoenix Park near Nottingham, we are looking for a Solar/Electrical installer to join our team.
We are MCS accredited and currently deliver Solar PV and battery storage installations through subcontracted supply chain. You will be part of our new internal installations team, completing Solar PV and batteries installs as part of domestic energy efficiency retrofit schemes. You will also support on the electrical element of ventilation system upgrades.
This is a site based role and you will be working across all of our sites. Our sites are generally within a 2-hour radius of our Nottingham office.
This role would suit a Domestic Electrician who is looking to transfer their skills into the Solar industry.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in the installation of Solar PV and battery storage although this is not an essential requirement. The role requires someone who is forward thinking and someone who can work as part of a team while dealing with customers and clients in a professional manner. You will be highly focused on compliance and quality standards. The iIdeal candidate will have 3 or more years post- apprenticeship experience.

Duties
· Complete Ssolar PV and battery storage installations to a high standard and in compliance with Microgeneration Certification Standards (MCS).
· Install Solar PV inverters and batteries according to designs while following industry standards and best practice guides; working to BS7671, Part P and associated Solar PV safety regulations
· Track and manage materials and waste at a project (property) level
· Carry out testing and commissioning post installation. This will include, as a minimum, compliance requirements and any additional Client requests.
· Document all installations with time, date and geo-tagged photographs
· Work collaboratively with other engineers, supervisors and contractors.
· Deliver excellent customer service to domestic householders, completing a handover of the systems including setting up any required Apps for customer use.
Essential Qualifications/Experience
· 18th Edition
· ECS Gold card
· Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
· Full UK drivers license (6 points or less)
· A DBS check will be required
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
· 2391 Test and Inspect
· Experience or understanding of Solar PV and Battery installations
· Experience or understanding of ventilation systems
· Experience or understanding of domestic Air Source Heat Pumps
· 3 Years experience after apprenticeship completion
· Experience working on domestic or social housing projects
Pay: £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
