7.5T Tipper Driver / Surfacing Labourer
EC Surfacing Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable 7.5T Tipper Driver / Surfacing Labourer to join our team, working as part of a 4-man gang on surfacing projects across Sheffield - based from our yard in Brigg.
This is a hands-on role combining driving with general labouring duties. You’ll be responsible for transporting materials to site whilst also supporting the team with the day-to-day delivery of surfacing & light civils works.
The Role
- Drive a 7.5T tipper vehicle to and from job sites.
- Carry out daily walk-round and vehicle safety checks at the beginning of each shift.
- Collect and deliver asphalt, concrete and stone to site.
- Assist the gang where required with general labouring duties.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured in accordance with DVSA guidelines.
- Complete required paperwork, including timesheets, waste transfer notes and collection notes.
- Work safely and effectively as part of a 4-man gang.
- Maintain a professional attitude when working on local authority and other client sites.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:00am start from the Brigg yard.
Work will primarily be on projects across Sheffield.
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid 7.5T licence
- Valid CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of vehicle safety and load security
- Reliable, punctual and willing to undertake both driving and labouring duties
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
Desirable:
- Class 2 licence for larger job sites
- Previous experience within surfacing, highways, construction or civil engineering
