We are recruiting for an experienced part time cook to join our client’s busy catering team. They produce food from fresh ingredients and good honest cooking, seating approx. 100 + people
Hours are 4 days per week Friday through to Monday 09.00-17.00 – 30 paid hours
Working with their kitchen team, the successful individual will be responsible for individual orders at large volume that includes general food prep, cooking and cleaning down.
Duties for Part time Cook include:
- Prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard
- Maintain accurate food records
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
- Monitor portion size and waste
Skills needed for part time cook:
- Experience of working in a busy fast paced kitchen
- Excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team
- Experience of commercial catering equipment
- Professionalism and reliability
- Remains calm under pressure
- Good time management
This role is based just on the outskirts of Grantham, accessible by Bus from Grantham or own transport if from outside the area.
The role would suit anyone from a commercial kitchen as a cook, chef de partie, sous chef, café cook.
