Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Removal Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy removals and relocation company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing removal teams, coordinating logistics, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high operational standards.
This role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to ensure residential and commercial moves are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily removals operations, including residential and commercial moves
- Supervise and lead removal crews, drivers, and operational staff
- Plan and schedule transport routes, vehicle allocation, and job assignments
- Ensure all moves comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate with customers to confirm move details and resolve any issues
- Monitor job progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain vehicles, equipment, and moving materials
- Manage staffing levels, training, and performance of team members
- Handle customer complaints and ensure high service standards
- Track operational costs and support efficiency improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in removals, logistics, or transport management
- Previous team leadership or management experience
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and tight schedules
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within transport or removals
- Experience with scheduling or logistics software is an advantage
Desirable Skills
- Experience managing large residential or commercial relocations
- Knowledge of packing standards and specialist moving equipment
