Duties
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all kitchen activities
- Organise ingredients and kitchen tools efficiently to optimise workflow
- Support the team with food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment after each shift
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other staff members to deliver excellent customer service during service hours
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is desirable but not essential
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
