Job Summary
Overview:
Due to fleet expansion, we are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Container Drivers to join our team. We offer flexibility to suit you whether you’re looking for full-time work with nights out, or just occasional part-time shifts.
You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods in our modern fleet of Volvo, Renault, Mercedes and Scania, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and traffic laws. This role is vital to the smooth running of our logistics operation.
Key Duties:
· Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles to deliver goods across various locations
· Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules
· Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
· Keep accurate driving records and logs
· Work closely with Traffic planners and Operations
· Not a tramping role but does involve nights out, there may be times where you will be away all week.
Experience & Skills:
· Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, ideally with container deliveries
· Have knowledge & the correct cards for all Major UK Ports
· Ability to drive long hours while staying focused and professional
· Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations

Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years’ LGV driving experience (for insurance)
· Clean driving record
· Valid UK Driving Licence & Driver CPC
· Excellent communication skills
