Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and proactive individual to join our friendly team. Our Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Head of Marketing and be based at our office and showroom in Broadbridge Heath, Horsham.
As a small team, this is a varied role that provides exposure to all aspects of marketing, supporting both local dealership activity and national manufacturer campaigns. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills across digital marketing, content creation, events, brand communications and customer engagement.
Content creation forms a significant part of this role, and we are looking for someone who enjoys producing engaging written, visual and video content for a range of channels. The ideal candidate will be comfortable creating content from concept through to publication and will have a strong understanding of current social media trends and best practice.
Knowledge of content creation, design and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar platforms would be advantageous.
An interest in AI tools, and how they can be used to enhance content creation, campaign performance and efficiency, would be useful.
Previous marketing experience would be beneficial as would a genuine interest in the automotive industry and cars. However enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn are equally important.
Applicants should hold a full driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Managing social media channels across multiple platforms and representing two dealership brands.
- Planning, creating and scheduling engaging content across social media, website and email marketing channels.
- Creating written, photographic and video content, including short-form video content for social media platforms and news articles for the website.
- Working closely with sales and aftersales teams to identify content opportunities.
- Website management, including content updates, optimisation and SEO best practice.
- Photography and videography for dealership websites, advertising and showroom materials.
- Creating and coordinating marketing collateral, both digital and printed.
- Managing customer databases, including ongoing maintenance, email marketing (eDM) activity and campaign management.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Assisting with local events, sponsorships, community engagement initiatives and employer branding activities.
- Supporting national manufacturer marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Monitoring, analysing and reporting on marketing activity, website performance and campaign effectiveness..
- Keeping up to date with marketing trends, social media developments and opportunities within the automotive sector.
Requirements

- Strong photography, content creation or storytelling skills
Desirable
- Experience creating content for social media, websites and email marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge of social media planning and scheduling tools.
- Experience using design or video editing software.
- Understanding of SEO and website content management.
- Interest in the automotive industry.
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
