Overview
We are lookiing for a passionate and experienced Barista to join our growing team at Pastille Bakery. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality coffees. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile. Weekends are our busiest period so weekend availability is required.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Assist in food preparation, ensuring that all items meet our quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
- Engage with customers, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations when needed.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently.
Skills
- Proficiency and consistency in quality coffees & latte art.
- Food and drink preparation and understanding of food safety practices.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- A willingness to help others, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration in all aspects of the role.
- Flexibility in duties and adaptable to the business' needs.
