Duties
Assist with the preparation and review of legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and settlement statements.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and update on case progress.
Manage case files meticulously using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook to ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. We do use Proclaim Case Management System to assist with generating documents and document storage.
Schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines efficiently using strong time management skills to keep cases on track.
Support the conveyancing team by conducting initial searches, ordering property reports, and liaising with external agencies as needed.
Maintain organized records of all correspondence, legal documents, and transaction details to ensure seamless case handling.
Assist with enquiries on sale transactions, setting up completions on sales and purchase transactions. Liasing with clients, agents and mortgage brokers. Dealing with HM Land Registry applications and requisitions.
Undertaking Stamp Duty Land Tax Returns with training, Companies House Return for Mortgages.
Assist in managing IT systems used for case management and document storage, ensuring data security and accessibility.
Experience
Previous experience in conveyancing or property law is essential.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members across various platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite—particularly Word for document creation, Excel for data management, Outlook for email correspondence—is required.
Excellent organizational skills combined with effective time management will enable you to handle multiple cases efficiently.
A good understanding of IT systems related to legal case management will be advantageous; training will be provided if needed.
Fluent English language skills are necessary for clear written and verbal communication in this role.
