JOB TITLE: Occupational Therapist
LOCATION: Windsor, Berkshire
REPORTING TO: Head of Therapy
FORMAT: Part-time (2-3 days per week, term time), pay advertised as full time equivalent, paid pro rata.
INTRODUCTION
The Green Room Foundation is a charity dedicated to helping young people aged 11 to 18 years old develop their full potential. This vision has grown into a group of three unique settings supporting students throughout their educational journey.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at our alternative education provision in Windsor. INTENT/PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Many of the young people attending our alternative settings have experienced significant challenges with mainstream education and may present with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The Occupational Therapist will play a crucial role in supporting students with sensory integration, self-regulation, and the development of daily living skills to help them access learning, grow in confidence, and thrive.
IMPLEMENTATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assessment & Intervention: Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student needs and deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload, set and review progress goals, and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Collaboration & Training: Work closely within a multidisciplinary school staff team (includes other therapists and teaching staff) as well as parents/carers to integrate therapy goals into both the curriculum and home life.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications & Professional Membership (Essential)
- Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
Experience
- Experience working with young people with a range of special educational needs in an educational setting would be desirable, though applicants with strong transferable skills are welcome
- An interoception specialism is advantageous, but not essential
