Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and in good working order.
- Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the kitchen management promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and a desire to develop skills within the hospitality industry.
