Packing Operative
Yetminster (15 minute drive from Yeovil)
Temp – Perm position
SITE TOURS AVAILABLE
Full-Time, Day shift, Monday - Friday
06:30 – Finish (average 16:30) Overtime on Saturdays in peak time is offered.
2 x 30 minutes break per day
Pay Rate is from £12.75 This is a performance based position therefore hourly rate will increase based on targets hit.

We are seeking Packing Operatives to join our client that are located in Yetminster. This factory specialises in supplying and developing award-winning British beef and lamb products for retail, food service and wholesale customers worldwide. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are quality checked, packed efficiently and safely.
Please note this factory is a chilled environment (under 5 degrees Celsius). Adequate PPE will be provided however you must be fit to work within this environment.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Inspect & Pack meat products according to specified guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP protocols.
- Conduct regular checks on packaging materials and equipment for quality assurance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packing area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food production or packing is preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of food safety practices and HACCP principles.
- Ability to work on your own and as a part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
