Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced CNC Sliding head, Setter, Programmer Operator to strengthen our skilled machining team. EMS is a well-established precision engineering company offering a modern working environment, good company benefits and an early finish every Friday.
Operating our Citizen sliding head lathes to produce high precision volume components, the main elements of the role are:
· maximising the capabilities of the equipment
· planning, programming, setting and operating sliding head lathes with Mitsubishi control.
· clearly construct and annotate programmes
· uploading and downloading programs between CNC machines, CAD/CAM systems and correctly filing programmes on to the company server
· estimating turning times
· resolving issues
· ensuring health and safety standards are met
· liaising with other departments to ensure standards and deadlines are met, and to guarantee continual improvement
· maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
· providing support to the CNC Turning Team Leader and other members of the team when necessary
Pay: £20.00-£22.00 per hour
