Duties
- Assisting with construction and utilities
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Supporting excavation activities using excavators and other machinery
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems
- Performing general site clearance and waste removal
- Assisting with construction tasks such as material movement and site preparation
- Conducting routine maintenance on equipment and tools
- Supporting team members in various labouring tasks to meet project deadlines
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times
Skills
- Experience or knowledge in construction and utilities
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery such as excavators and power tools
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools for construction or gardening tasks
- Ability to operate heavy machinery like excavators safely (training can be provided)
- Understanding of irrigation systems installation and maintenance
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour over extended periods
- Good organisational skills with attention to safety standards
- Willingness to learn new skills within construction, gardening, or maintenance fields
- Team player with effective communication skills
