Restaurant Manager -
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our busy restaurant in the heart of Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, delivering outstanding customer service, and developing a motivated team.
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional standards of service, food quality, and hospitality while maintaining a positive and productive working environment.
Working Pattern
- Full-time, 5-day working week.
- Three evening shifts per week, responsible for closing and locking up the restaurant.
- Opening shifts also included within your weekly rota.
- Weekend availability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Manage the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service.
- Recruit, train and develop team members.
- Create staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and licensing regulations.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders and minimise waste.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a consistently excellent dining experience.
- Cash handling, end-of-day procedures and securing the premises during closing shifts.
About You
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or General Manager in a busy hospitality environment.
- A confident leader with excellent communication and people management skills.
- Passionate about customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
- Commercially aware with experience managing costs and driving sales.
- Flexible to work a mixture of opening and closing shifts.
