Job Description:
We’re proud to have been awarded a 12-month contract to provide manned guarding services for an accommodation facility supporting the homeless community of Northampton. We’re now looking for professional, compassionate, and confident Security Officers to join our team on this important contract
The Role
You’ll play a key part in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff. The role involves clear communication, empathy, and the ability to calmly de-escalate challenging situations.
Your duties will include:
- Conducting bag searches to ensure no narcotics or alcohol are brought onto site
- Managing access and egress, logging visitors and residents appropriately
- Carrying out regular patrols and ensuring all access points are secure
- Acting as a visible and professional deterrent
- Maintaining accurate incident reports and records
- Liaising with the control room and emergency services when required
Shift Pattern (4 on 4 off)
Requirements (All Essential)
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection)
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- A full 5-year checkable work/education history
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Compassionate, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
