Estimator – Shopfitting & Joinery
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000+ DOE
Location: West Yorkshire
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in shopfitting, bespoke joinery, or interior fit-out to join their established team based in West Yorkshire.
With over 30 years of industry experience, the business has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality retail fit-out projects across the UK. Working with recognised brands, including Jo Malone, they deliver projects typically ranging from £400,000 to £1.5 million.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing business, working within a close-knit office team and alongside an experienced manufacturing facility located on-site.
The Role
As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of UK-wide shopfitting and bespoke joinery projects, managing the process from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Produce accurate take-offs and bills of quantities.
- Obtain, analyse, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Price shopfitting, bespoke joinery, and manufacturing packages.
- Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate.
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and the manufacturing department to ensure accurate and competitive tenders.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous estimating experience within shopfitting, joinery, or interior fit-out.
- A strong understanding of bespoke joinery and manufacturing processes.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
- Excellent commercial awareness with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.
