St Katherine Care Home is residential elderly care home (with Dementia) located in Bitterne Park, Southampton. It has undergone a large extension to create 8 luxury en-suite rooms, taking it's registration to 24 residents.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to work with us to challenge and fulfil your working life. If you are in a healthcare environment already and you are looking for a new challenge or a change of scenery, we would love to hear from you.
You will work all types of people who need care and support, who receive direct care. You are responsible for the individuals' overall comfort and well-being and help people who need care and support to live as independently as possible.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- assisting and enabling, washing and dressing, taking food, mobility, toileting, bed making
- providing interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user
- monitoring individuals’ conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight
- contributing to record keeping
You will be supervised by the Registered Manager.
