Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, organised, and customer-focused HGV Commercial Parts Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplying parts for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and commercial vehicles, managing inventory, supporting workshop operations, and delivering exceptional customer service to both trade and retail customers.

Previous experience within the HGV, truck, trailer, or commercial vehicle sector is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers and workshop technicians in identifying and supplying the correct HGV and commercial vehicle parts.
- Process customer enquiries, quotations, orders, and invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Manage parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure the timely availability and delivery of parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using Microsoft Excel, dealer management systems, and other relevant software.
- Advise customers on part compatibility, availability, and suitable alternatives where required.
- Support the workshop by ensuring technicians receive the correct parts promptly to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Carry out regular stock checks and participate in annual stock takes.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe parts department.
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
- Ensure all warranty, returns, and exchange procedures are completed accurately and in line with company policies.
- Work towards departmental sales targets by identifying additional parts and accessory sales opportunities.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor within the HGV, truck, trailer, commercial vehicle, agricultural, plant, or automotive industry is preferred.
- Good knowledge of HGV and commercial vehicle components and parts identification.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using dealer management or parts catalogue systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing orders and managing stock.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a busy team.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
- Multilingual skills are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £25,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
