General Overview of Role
The successful applicant shall be responsible for receiving and dispatching goods from the stores, safely storing goods received, and resolving discrepancies in the delivery of goods alongside the warehouse manager.
Further duties shall include but are not limited to; managing stock levels, supporting the loading and unloading of our vehicular fleet, general yard duties, and preparing a variety of fixture and fittings boxes (such as nuts and bolts) that enables both our installation team and customers to assemble our products.
This role requires a certain degree of physical fitness as it is a position that requires lifting and coordination.
Further Roles and Responsibilities
- Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received
- Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items
- Updating inventory management systems regularly
- Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift
- Manual handling
- Organising and delivering goods from the store to the department that requires it
- Preparing fixture and fittings boxes
- Continually liaising with the warehouse manager and team in general, as well as both the production and operations manager
- Supporting the warehouse team with the completion of some of their daily tasks and duties
Knowledge/Experience
- Preferred knowledge of store work associated with manufacturing
- Preferred experience working within a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of health and safety within the work place, with particular reference to manual handling
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and computer software such as “word” and “excel”

Essential Requirements
The successful applicant must have:
- a forklift truck operators license
- a clean and full UK driving license*
