We are a professional and growing garden maintenance company looking for a reliable and hardworking Garden Maintenance Operative to join our team.
The role will involve carrying out a range of garden maintenance work at residential properties, helping us maintain a high standard of service for our customers.
The Role
Typical duties will include:
- General garden maintenance and tidying
- Lawn mowing and lawn care
- Hedge cutting and pruning
- Weeding and border maintenance
- Planting and general horticultural work
- use of garden machinery
- Leaf clearance and seasonal garden work
- Keeping gardens, tools and equipment clean and tidy
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
- Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual, with excellent timekeeping
- Hardworking and takes pride in their work
- Friendly, polite and professional with customers
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to use their own initiative
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
- Keen to learn and develop their gardening skills
- Well presented and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work
Previous gardening or landscaping experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided for the right person.
Requirements
- Must have a reliable means of transport to get to work
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
- Previous experience using gardening machinery would be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Working Hours
The standard working days are:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
There may also be opportunities for weekend work from time to time, depending on the workload and requirements of the business.
