Clinical Lead Nurse

Salary: £21.00–£25.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our nursing home team as a Clinical Lead Nurse.
The successful candidate will provide strong clinical leadership, ensure high standards of resident care and support the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for and provide high-quality nursing care to residents.
- Assess, plan, implement and review individual care plans.
- Review care documentation monthly and whenever residents' needs change.
- Administer prescribed medication safely in accordance with NMC requirements and company policies.
- Carry out wound care and dressings in accordance with care plans and clinical requirements.
- Ensure residents receive appropriate, person-centred care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and electronic records.
- Ensure records are completed in real time.
- Support and mentor nurses and care staff.
- Assist with staff induction, training, development and supervision.
- Lead by example in meeting residents' physical, emotional and psychological needs.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, infection prevention and confidentiality.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, relatives, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure mandatory training is kept up to date.
- Act as Nurse in Charge and oversee the effective running of the home when required.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and safe nursing cover.
- Organise and supervise care staff according to residents' care plans.
- Oversee residents' nutrition, meals and social activities.
- Ensure the safety and security of the home while on duty.
- Remain on duty until appropriate qualified nursing cover is arranged, where required.
- Assist with the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the home.
- Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, choice and independence at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration (RGN/RMN).
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar care setting.
- Good understanding of person-centred care and clinical governance.
- Good knowledge of medication management, wound care and care planning.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and resident safety.
Desirable
- Previous Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse or Nurse-in-Charge experience.
- Experience supporting and mentoring care staff.
- Knowledge of CQC requirements and care-home regulations.
