About the Role
P&E Sports are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and energetic Sports Coaches / Activity Leaders to support the delivery of our Summer Sports & Activity Camp at Manor School.
The camp will run Monday to Friday from 20th July to 21st August, from 9:00am – 3:00pm, with early drop-off and late pick-up available.
Activities include football, multi-sports, nerf gun battles, team games, active challenges, glow sports, competitions and general holiday camp activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering fun, safe and engaging sports and activity sessions
- Supporting children aged 5–12 of all abilities
- Helping to set up and pack away equipment each day
- Encouraging children to take part and enjoy being active
- Supporting with team games, competitions and active challenges
- Helping with registration, lunch supervision and general camp duties where needed
- Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive environment
- Managing behaviour in a calm and professional way
- Reporting any safeguarding, first aid or behaviour concerns to the Camp Lead
- Representing P&E Sports in a professional and friendly manner with parents, children and school staff

- Comfortable leading or supporting sports and activity sessions
- Patient, approachable and able to encourage children of all abilities
- Calm under pressure and able to manage groups safely
- Passionate about helping children enjoy sport and physical activity
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working with children is preferred, but the right attitude and personality are just as important.
Desirable experience includes:
- Sports coaching
- Holiday camps
- School clubs or PE support
- Youth work or childcare
- Volunteering with children's activities or sports clubs
Applicants must either have, or be willing to complete:
- Enhanced DBS check
- Safeguarding training
- Basic first aid training where required
About the Camp
This is not an elite sports coaching camp. The main focus is on children having fun, staying active, making friends and enjoying a positive holiday experience. We want staff who can bring energy, encouragement and enthusiasm every day, while helping to create a safe and structured environment for all children.
