Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker/Processor to join our team. This role involves efficiently selecting, packing, and processing orders to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, and be comfortable with heavy lifting and stock management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills.
We are a tight knit family business with a small hard working team, a good attitude an willingness to learn and adapt will be preferential over experience.
Duties
- Accurately pick items from stock using warehouse management systems (WMS) and manual methods
- Pack orders securely, ensuring all items meet quality standards before dispatch
- Load and unload goods using appropriate handling equipment, including forklifts where certified
- Manage stock levels through regular stocking and inventory checks
- Prepare shipments for shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and labelling
- Conduct quality control inspections to identify damaged or incorrect items
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with mechanical troubleshooting of warehouse equipment as needed
- Support the overall flow of materials handling within the warehouse environment
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management, materials handling, or related roles
- Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, picking & packing, and stock replenishment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Prior experience in quality control processes within a warehouse setting is desirable
- Candidate must be computer literate.
