We're looking for an Asset - Surveyor to join our Investment Delivery team on a fixed-term contract until at least March 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to help shape and deliver investment programmes that improve our homes, estates and communities across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.
As a key member of the team, you'll provide a professional surveying service across a range of asset management activities, including stock condition surveys, HHSRS inspections, reactive surveys, asbestos validation, void inspections and quality assurance checks. Working closely with customers, contractors and colleagues, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while providing excellent value for money and customer service.
What you'll be doing:

Carrying out a range of asset management surveys, including stock condition, HHSRS, reactive, forward planning, asbestos validation, void and quality assurance inspections.

Inspecting properties, identifying defects and recommending appropriate repair, refurbishment and investment solutions.

Preparing technical specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation for planned investment and refurbishment projects.

Managing contractors on site, monitoring quality, performance, programme delivery and health and safety compliance.

Supporting the delivery of investment schemes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Working closely with customers, residents and stakeholders to provide consultation, manage expectations and deliver a positive customer experience.

Providing technical advice and guidance to colleagues, customers and contractors, helping to resolve queries and issues effectively.

Maintaining accurate survey data, records and project information within internal systems.

Liaising with internal teams, consultants and external partners to support the successful delivery of projects.

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards, including CDM, Health & Safety and social housing requirements.

Promoting value for money by developing practical, cost-effective solutions and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Building positive working relationships across the business to deliver a seamless and customer-focused asset management service.
What we're looking for:

Level 4 qualification in Construction, or equivalent building and surveying experience.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Experience delivering planned maintenance, investment and refurbishment programmes within social housing or construction.

Experience carrying out asset management surveys, including stock condition, HHSRS and property inspections.

Strong knowledge of building construction, property defects, refurbishment works and relevant housing legislation.

Experience managing contractors on site and monitoring quality, performance, budgets and compliance.

Good understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM requirements and property maintenance standards.

Ability to produce technical specifications and develop practical, cost-effective solutions that deliver value for money.

Strong IT, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach.

A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
