Bid Writer - 3 month contract
£45k (prorated for the three months naturally)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Writer to join an established construction and property services business on an initial 3-month contract.
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality, compelling bid submissions, supporting the business with its continued growth across the social housing and construction sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer who is confident producing persuasive written content, managing multiple deadlines and working closely with internal teams to develop strong and commercially focused submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, compelling and well-structured responses to PQQs, ITTs and tender submissions
- Produce high-quality case studies and supporting bid documentation
- Review tender requirements and ensure submissions fully address client questions and evaluation criteria
- Work closely with operational, technical, commercial and project teams to gather relevant information
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring submissions are delivered on time
- Research client requirements, market trends and industry developments to strengthen submissions
- Maintain and update the bid library, ensuring content remains accurate and relevant
- Ensure all bid documentation is consistent in tone, quality, branding and messaging
- Proofread and edit submissions to ensure excellent grammar, clarity and structure
- Support wider business development activity and contribute to the overall bid strategy
About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced Bid Writer with a strong understanding of the construction, property services or social housing sectors.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in bid writing, ideally within construction, property services or social housing
- Experience writing responses for PQQs, ITTs and tenders
- Exceptional written English with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to turn complex technical information into clear and persuasive written responses
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with wider teams
- Strong Microsoft Word and general IT skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within the social housing, planned maintenance, repairs or refurbishment sectors
- Construction or property services experience
- APMP qualification or equivalent bid-writing training
- Experience developing case studies and maintaining bid libraries
