Overview
We are seeking a dedicated HGV HIB Vehicle Hire Operator to join our team. This role involves the management and operation of flatbed lorries for commercial hire purposes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company policies. Duties
- Operate flatbed HGVs for hire, ensuring safe handling and transportation of cargo
- Conduct pre-journey inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
- Manage booking schedules and coordinate vehicle hire arrangements with clients
- Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper securing of loads
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, and deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols during operation
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of vehicles after each use
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar HGVs
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Valid UK driving licence suitable for HGVs, with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience with booking systems or fleet management software is a plus
- Training can be given
- Self employed option available
- Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR lorry loader certificate (Remote control hook/brick grab experience is a distinct advantage). but Training can be given to right candidate
- Minimu 2 years driving experience

Pay: £170.00-£190.00 per day
