Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized appropriately
- Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and addressing patient needs with empathy
- Support with patient management tasks such as updating records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a welcoming environment
- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards within the dental practice in accordance with health regulations
- Use IT systems to update patient information, manage appointment schedules, and record treatment details accurately
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members to ensure smooth workflow and positive experiences for everyone
- Support the administration of dental materials and equipment, ensuring everything is organized and ready for use
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately
- GCSEs [ minimum grade C in English and Maths ]
- Genuine interest in patient care, nursing, or healthcare professions with a desire to develop a career in dentistry
- Basic IT skills for managing digital records and appointment systems effectively
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to work well as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and reliability
- No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship program
