We are an established Scandinavian company specializing in mobile gold purchasing and are expanding our operations across North Wales.
We are looking for a self-employed professional to work as a Gold Buyer & Consultant covering our North Wales route. This is an independent contractor opportunity, not an employed position.
Successful applicants will operate under a self-employed arrangement and will receive initial training, operational support, appointment support, and access to established systems and processes.
We provide the mobile purchasing vehicle, training, operational systems, marketing support, and ongoing business guidance. No franchise fee, buy-in, or upfront investment is required.
About the role
As a Gold Buyer & Consultant, you will work throughout North Wales using a fully equipped mobile purchasing vehicle, following a set 7-day route across the region.
You will meet customers who wish to sell gold, jewellery, silver, coins, watches, and other valuables, providing a professional, transparent, and respectful customer experience.
This is a customer-facing, mobile role involving regular travel throughout North Wales. The role runs on a rotational schedule — either one week on and one week off, or two weeks on and two weeks off — and because the route covers the full North Wales region, some nights during on-weeks will be spent away from home.
Key responsibilities
- Meet customers through scheduled appointments and local buying events.
- Evaluate gold, jewellery, silver, coins, watches, and other valuable items using the company's training and operating standards.
- Explain the purchasing process clearly and professionally.
- Negotiate purchases and complete transactions using company systems and processes.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required reporting.
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
- Build customer relationships throughout North Wales.
- Travel regularly using the company-provided mobile purchasing vehicle, following the fixed 7-day route.
What we provide
- A fully equipped mobile gold purchasing vehicle.
- Paid initial training in gold and precious metal evaluation, customer service, and purchasing procedures.
- Ongoing operational guidance and support.
- Marketing and customer appointment support.
- Established operational systems and processes.
- Access to an experienced international team.
No previous experience in gold purchasing is required. Full training is provided before you begin operating.
Compensation
This is a self-employed, commission-based independent contractor opportunity.
Compensation is based on completed purchases and results achieved across your route. Earnings vary depending on activity, route performance, and results. No minimum earnings are guaranteed.
Candidate profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Professional, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
- Confident meeting new people and building relationships.
- Willing and able to travel extensively throughout North Wales as part of the fixed weekly route — this role involves a lot of daily driving.
- Comfortable spending some nights away from home during on-weeks, given the route covers North Wales.
- Able to commit to the rotational schedule (1 week on/1 off, or 2 weeks on/2 off).
- Organised and able to manage daily administrative tasks.
- Experience in sales, retail, customer service, buying, or a similar customer-facing role is beneficial, but not essential.
