Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Music Retail Store Manager to lead our vibrant store team at Assai Records Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Duties
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Supervise and motivate sales staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to optimise product displays and maximise sales potential.
- Oversee stock management, including inventory control, ordering, and replenishment.
- Provide training and support to team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement.
- Maintain high standards of visual presentation within the store environment.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally via phone or in person.
- Analyse sales data and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
- Organise staff rotas ensuring adequate coverage during trading hours.
- Promote a positive team culture centred on collaboration, professionalism, and enthusiasm for music.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within retail environments, preferably in music or related sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to supervise and develop teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Experience in sales management, merchandising, and stock control systems.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as report writing, scheduling, and record keeping.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
