Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

The Role
This is a predominantly office-based role focused on managing customer relationships, preparing quotations, processing orders and providing technical support.
You'll work closely with existing customers, helping them find the right solutions, responding to enquiries and ensuring a smooth customer journey from quotation through to delivery.
You will also play a key role in re-engaging dormant accounts and identifying opportunities to grow business within existing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Prepare competitive quotations and follow up opportunities.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email and trade counter.
- Re-engage dormant customers and identify opportunities for growth.
- Source products and liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead times.
- Negotiate costs and support profitable sales growth.
- Provide technical advice and product support to customers.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records using company systems.
About You
We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience within the engineering, industrial or manufacturing supply sector.
You will understand the importance of delivering excellent customer service whilst using your technical knowledge to help customers find the right solution.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical sales, internal sales, customer account management or engineering support role.
- Industry experience within engineering supplies, industrial distribution, manufacturing or a related sector.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and business systems.
- A proactive, positive and team-focused approach.
- Experience working within sales and or trade counter or industrial supply environment.
