Two Venues. Two Vibes. One Kitchen Star.
We're on the hunt for a full time cook who can hold their own across two of our most-loved venues - Barbara's Bier Haus and Bonnie Rogues. One brings the après-ski vibes and feel-good fun; the other brings the noise, the banter, and the legendary nights out. Together, they make up two of the most electric spots in the city - and we need someone in the kitchen who can match that energy.
Just passion, pace, and a love of feeding a crowd.
Who We Are
Barbara's Bier Haus
Think après-ski energy, feel-good tunes, and unforgettable nights. Barbara’s is warm, fun, and totally unpretentious - a place where great food and brilliant times go hand in hand. Our menu is simple, delicious, and built for people who are here to have a great time: think banging pizzas, tasty hot dogs, and crowd-pleasing bites that keep the good times rolling.
Bonnie Rogues
Bonnie Rogues is the pub where tradition meets tomorrow. Bold, loud, and unapologetically original - it's the quirky cousin of the traditional pub, but louder, livelier, and never afraid to stand out. Fist-pumping playlists, standout live music, top-notch food, and a team that knows how to bring the party. This is the pub experience done right.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll split your time across both venues, working across shifts to keep the kitchens running smoothly and the food flying out to hungry guests. Here's what a typical week looks like:
- Cook with Confidence – Prep and serve our signature dishes across both venues - from Barbara’s pizzas and hot dogs to Bonnie Rogues’ full menu, including hearty Sunday roasts and crowd-favourite plates. Quality and consistency are always the standard.
- Keep it Moving – You'll work at pace during busy services, staying calm under pressure and keeping the kitchen humming whether it's a quiet Tuesday or a packed Saturday night.
- Stay on Brand – Both venues have their own vibe and identity, and the food needs to match. You'll make sure every dish that goes out feels right at home in whichever kitchen you're in.
- Keep Standards High – Maintain food hygiene standards, complete kitchen paperwork and keep both kitchens clean, safe and compliant at all times.
- Work With the Team – Whether you're at Barbara's or Bonnie Rogues, you'll work hand-in-hand with the FOH crew to keep the atmosphere as lively back of house as it is front of house.
- Assist with Events – At Barbara's, you'll occasionally work with our menu development manager to help cater private events and keep things fresh.
Who You Are
We're not looking for someone who just shows up - we're looking for someone who brings it. Here's what we need:
- Some Kitchen Experience – You don't need to be a Michelin-star chef, but you know your way around a professional kitchen and can hold your own during a busy service.
- Reliable and Ready to Graft – You turn up, you get stuck in, and you bring the energy. Our teams work hard and have a great time doing it - we want someone who fits right in.
- Cool Under Pressure – Peak service times are where you shine. You're the calm in the storm, keeping things moving when the pressure's on.
- Food Safety Aware – A Level 2 Food Safety certificate (or willingness to get one) and an understanding of allergen and hygiene standards are a must.
- Flexible – You'll need to be available for evenings and weekends across both sites. Exact split of hours will be confirmed at offer stage.
