Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide compassionate care and support to children with complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with children, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote development, well-being, and independence. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the safety and comfort of each child.
- Support children with daily activities, including personal care, mobility assistance, and behavioural support.
- Foster positive communication and build trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Assist in organising and participating in educational, recreational, and social activities tailored to each child's interests and abilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, progress notes, and any incidents in line with organisational policies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for the children.
- Drive company vehicles when required to facilitate outings or appointments, adhering to all road safety regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children, particularly those with complex needs or disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles and childcare practices.
- Experience in developing or implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and team members.
- IT proficiency for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation duties. Pay: £24,420.00-£36,098.41 per year
