Crystal Health Group is a nationwide provider of Occupational Health, Drug & Alcohol and DNA testing services, supporting organisations across both the public and private sectors throughout the UK.
Due to increasing demand in the Glasgow area, we are looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Health Technician (OHT) to join our nationwide network of healthcare professionals.
The successful applicant will primarily support the delivery of Occupational Health screening services for our clients, whilst also undertaking workplace drug & alcohol testing and DNA sample collection services as required.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Occupational Health Technician looking to supplement their existing work, or a retired healthcare professional wishing to remain active in a flexible clinical role.
Applicants with good weekday availability (Monday to Friday) will be given preference.
Please note: This role is suitable for experienced healthcare professionals and is not suitable for applicants without a clinical or healthcare background.
The Role
Working independently across the Glasgow area, you will attend client premises and other agreed locations to deliver professional Occupational Health screening services on behalf of Crystal Health Group.
Your primary duties will include supporting Occupational Health appointments, with additional responsibilities including:
- Occupational Health screening and medical assessments
- Workplace urine drug testing
- Breath alcohol testing
- Hair drug and alcohol sample collection
- DNA sample collection
- Saliva drug testing
- Completion of electronic documentation and associated administration
Assignments are offered on an ad hoc basis according to client demand, with the majority taking place during normal weekday business hours.
Full training and competency assessment will be provided for all Crystal Health Group services.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking reliable, professional healthcare individuals who are comfortable working independently whilst representing Crystal Health Group to our clients.
Ideally you will already work within Occupational Health or another clinical setting and have the capacity to undertake additional weekday work.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a healthcare environment (for example as an Occupational Health Technician, Healthcare Assistant, Registered Nurse or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and compassionate approach with clients
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- The ability to work independently
- Good IT skills for completing electronic documentation
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- The right to work in the UK
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Occupational Health screening
- Workplace drug & alcohol testing
- DNA sample collection
- Chain of Custody procedures
- Working within regulated or compliance-led environments
Previous experience in these areas is welcomed but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Pay: £35.00-£70.00 per hour
