We are seeking a dedicated and organised School Office Administrator to join our educational team. This vital role involves managing daily administrative tasks, supporting staff and students, and ensuring the smooth operation of the school office. Duties
- Manage all administrative functions within the school office, including handling correspondence, filing, and data entry
- Support staff with scheduling meetings, appointments, and school events
- Assist students and parents with enquiries, providing friendly and professional service
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, enrolments, and other essential documentation
- Coordinate communication between teachers, parents, pupils, and external agencies
- Oversee the organisation of school supplies and resources to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures
- Assist with organising school activities, including open days and parent evenings
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and maintain confidentiality at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role within an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of teaching practices or experience working alongside teaching staff is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in British English
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software programmes
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
